Royals Home Opener

Posted by Rachel on Apr 11, 2009 in Around KC

The Royals had their home opener yesterday…and we were there! Being that Rick’s parents where coming down for Easter weekend…they were more than willing to watch Noah so me and Rick could have a day to ourselves! We left here and headed to a friends and then out to the stadium to tailgate. It was a little cold and windy, but at least it wasn’t raining!! We headed into the stadium a little early so we could look at all the new renovations they’ve made. There is now seating in the outfield – so that is pretty cool.

The Royals ended up losing the game 1-4 to the New York Yankees, but we still had fun! We can’t wait to take Noah to his first game!!!

Easter Egg Hunt

Posted by Rachel on Apr 8, 2009 in Around KC, Noah

We had a neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt tonight for the little kids. It was such a perfect night for it! Noah only got one egg, but he was pretty happy with it. In the picture is our neighbor across the street – Josh. Noah and Josh are only about 4 1/2 month apart, so I’m sure there will be many playdates between these two!

Play Date

Posted by Rachel on Apr 7, 2009 in Noah

Noah had a playdate yesterday with our neighbor Cecelia. Noah loves watching Celia run around and play. He would just sit there and watch her and laugh. Celia would give Noah a toy to play with and then she would take it away so she could play with it. Noah would fuss a little so she would go back over to him and rub his face and say “It’s okay baby Noah” – it was soo cute!!!

Fish Fry…or Cake Eating Contest

Posted by Rachel on Apr 4, 2009 in Around KC, Noah

Our neighbors, Dave & Corinne asked if we wanted to go to a fish fry with them last night, so we said yes – even though we don’t eat much fish. But they said there would be some pizza there too, so I was in!!! We went to the church that was having the fish fry and I couldn’t believe how many people were there!!! We had to wait in line for quite a while, but we did find an empty table while we were in line, so me and Noah went to sit down so he could eat. As soon as Noah was done eating, everyone else came to the table with our food, so we could eat. I don’t think Noah should have been hungry, but when he sees me eating, he thinks he needs to eat too. So I had to shaire some of my green beans and potatoes. The food was really good and Rick even had the fish and said that was very good.

Once we were done eating our main course, they had a dessert table set up, so we just had to have some! Again, Noah shouldn’t have been hungry, but he seen the cake and he wanted some…and he wanted it now!! At one point, I must not have been feeding him fast enough, so he thought he would take matters into his own hands…he grabbed a handful of cake and it went straight in his mouth! Then Dave thought he needed some more, and Noah is more than happy!! See picture above!

I Like Cake

Posted by Rachel on Mar 29, 2009 in Noah, Rick

Well today Rick decided he wanted to make a cake, so he got out the ingredients and started mixing it up.

Noah thought it was pretty funny!!! He was sitting his his chair finishing his lunch and would just start laughing. I think he thought it was pretty funny that Daddy was baking!!

The finished product!!! Rick even decorated the cake…he loves my Mom’s frosting, so he whipped up a batch! And he also found some Sponge Bob decorations to add too.
