Weird Quirks

Posted by Rachel on Sep 21, 2009 in Funny, Noah

Weird QuirksI thought I’d tell you some of Noah’s weird little quirks. He’s such a funny guy!!!

*Likes to take a drink of water out of his sippy cup and then just open his mouth and let it all fall out. Then he laughs!

*Likes to stand against the railing and stick one foot over the edge, or he’ll sit straddling the railing and dangle his feet.

*He’ll grab my decorative fall pumpkin, look at me and run in the opposite direction, laughing the whole time, knowing he’s not supposed to be playing with it.

*Walk backwards – which, I might say, he’s actually getting pretty good at!!!

*If we leave a bathroom door open, he has a 6th sense about it and runs in. He’ll grab some toilet paper and start chewing on it and then grab some more toilet paper and start unwinding it.

*If we are upstairs, he runs into our bathroom and likes to play in the shower. Not sure what he finds so fascinating about it, but he likes to stand in there!

*Likes to stick his arm in the surround sound sub-woofer.

      Noah…a big brother!!!

Posted by Rachel on Sep 18, 2009 in Noah

Well, if you haven’t heard yet….we are expecting a new little boy or girl in March!!!!

I’m just starting the 2nd trimester…and I’m feeling much better these days!!! I was pretty nauseous all day long up until about 2 weeks ago. So I’m glad that is going away!!! Noah is definatley trying to help me not put on too much weight….I mean, how can you put on any weight when you are running after a little boy who doesn’t stop?!?!

We will be able to find out if we are having a boy or girl around the middle of November. Rick is hoping for a girl and of course, I’m pulling for a boy. Not sure if I can deal with all the pink fluffy stuff!!! Obviously, we are really just hoping that it is a healthy baby!!!!

      In Mason City

Posted by Rachel on Sep 17, 2009 in Family, Iowa, Noah, Rick

Last weekend we went to visit Rick’s parents in Mason City. We didn’t have anything planned, so it was just a relaxing weekend. We did try to get his Dad to work on a project while we were there, but he just wanted to relax. We feel bad, because everytime they are at our place, there is always something for him to work on, so we just wanted to help him back. He says he doesn’t need any more “supervisors”, but let me tell you….I’m a great supervisior!!!

Rick got to meet up with a few of his friends and they even went to a business open house in Mason City that had a tank run over some cars and a race between two fire stations to see who could cut a car in half faster! I even got to meet up with Joni!!! I haven’t seen her in a while, so it was nice to catch up!!!

On Saturday afternoon, we headed up to Northwood to stay overnight at the hotel there. Rick’s parents had a free night, so that was even better!!! Noah got to go swimming in the indoor pool and then we went back to the hotel room. There wasn’t much on tv, but as I was flipping thru the channels, “Monstor Jam: came on – the big 4×4 trucks. Well, Noah pretty much stopped in his tracks and watched the trucks on tv for about 45 minutes!!! He is definately all boy!!!

      Hy-Vee Shopping Carts

      Shopping Cart

We went grocery shopping the other day at Hy-Vee and we put Noah in the kid-friendly shopping cart. He looked so little sitting in there, but boy, did he have fun!!! He was steering both wheels and honking the little squeaky horns thru the whole store!

      Stuck In The Truck

Posted by Rachel on Sep 3, 2009 in Noah, Rick

Rick thought Noah HAD to have a big dump truck, so the other night he got one for Noah at Target. I’m not sure who actually likes it more, Rick or Noah!!! When Noah first got it, he would put some toys in the back and push it around the house. Now he likes to get in it…and it’s much easier to get in than it is to get out!! He really likes to get pushed around while he’s sitting in it, but that just takes work on our end.
