The other night we went out to eat with the neighbors at Taco Bueno. We were getting ready to leave and I put some formula in Noah’s diaper bag and filled his sippy cup with water. Grabbed my purse and we walked out the door. Once we got to the restaurant, I realized I forgot to grab his cup! So I guess-timated about how much water I needed and put it in a regular cup. The straw was a little big, so we cut it in half, hoping that Noah would drink out of it…and he did!!! Yeah!!! Now if I can just remember a bib!!
We might have a new drummer in the house! I guess it will always be loud – maybe we need to really finish off the basement with some sound-proofing material!!!!
Happy 1st Father’s Day Rick!!! You are such a great father to Noah, we couldn’t ask for anything better!!
Rick was outside a lot on Father’s Day – working on his Nova. I really don’t think there will be a lot left of the car when he’s done with it!! He’s taking it all apart and then going to have it bead blasted to get all the rust and paint off. Then he will start putting it back together…with new parts. Hopefully this won’t cost too much!!!!
When he was done working on the Nova for the day we headed down to the swimming pool. It was hot and humid so it felt really good to get in the pool. I however, now have a sunburn. I forgot to put sunscreen on my back and of course I had my back to the sun so it would block Noah! The things we do for our kids!!!
Well, I thought it was about time I did some cleaning in the house, so I thought I would tackle the mirrors and sinks in all the bathrooms. I started with the master bath and Noah comes crawling in, opens the bottom drawer and starts to take everything out. So I figure I’ll turn on the tv while I clean (and put everything away again) - that will keep him distracted. That only worked for a little bit, because I heard something fall. I checked on him and he was pulling the clock off the nightstand and playing with the ceiling fan remote. So I took that away and then it was time to move on to his bathroom.
He was playing with his toys and I was cleaning in the bathroom…then he comes crawling in and wants to play with the cleaning stuff that I had on the floor. So I take the cleaning stuff and go to the guest bathroom and shut the door behind me. Figure he can’t do too much damage in his room! I came back to check on him and he had pulled out 1/2 the box of Kleenex! I forgot to pick that up before I left! So I figure the damage is already done…go get the camera!!! I ran downstairs, grabbed the camera, ran back up stairs and he was crawling into the cabinet starting to take everything out. Maybe he thought I should just clean under there too!!
So this is the reason I feel like I do not get anything done during the day!!! Maybe it’s more like one step forward, two steps back!!!
We went for a walk earlier…yeah, it was HOT!!!! But Noah likes his walks, so I thought it would be good. On our walk we stopped at the park so he could swing. He seems to really like swinging.
