First Snowfall
Noah’s first snowfall!!! We woke up this morning and found the ground covered with snow, so we needed to take a picture.
Noah’s first snowfall!!! We woke up this morning and found the ground covered with snow, so we needed to take a picture.
Noah had is 4 month checkup today, which also means…shots. When we went, Rick thought Noah had to wear his Christmas hat because all the nurses and doctors at the pediatricians office would love it…Rick was right, everyone loved the hat!!
When we got there, we got Noah undressed so they could meausre him. I had my guess in for 16 lbs 4 oz, Rick said 16 lbs 5 oz….and Noah was officially 16 lbs 4.7 oz (which is the 74th percentile). So we’re calling it a tie!! Besides I think Rick would have went with something way different if I didn’t say my guess first!! Noah’s length is 26 inches (he’s in the 82nd percentile). No wonder he’s wearing 9 month clothes already!!!
After the doctor checked him over and made sure everything was sounding good and told us that we can start Noah on some rice cereal anytime between now and 6 months, it was time for the nurse to come in an give Noah his shots. He got one oral medication and two shots in each leg. Noah handled the shots pretty good, he did cry after he got poked, but was alright as soon as I could pick him up. He actually did so good that we ended up doing some shopping after we were done!!! We even went out to eat at Red Robin! Rick on the other hand, didn’t handle the shots as well!! He couldn’t even watch – which is why I had to help hold Noah down!
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
This was our first Thanksgiving with Noah. We spent the day at our house just relaxing and eat some great food. Both me and Rick are just getting over a cold, so it was nice to just relax and stay inside. We watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and Noah loved watching the parade.
I made a little 3 pound turkey – one of those Butterball turkey breast things – so nothing too big, just the right size for us. We also had stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and dinner rolls. After we ate, it was time for a family nap!!!
Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. I know we had a great Thanksgiving and we are grateful for our little Noah!!!
Okay, so we are a little behind on getting Noah’s 3 month professional pictures taken. So these are his 3 1/2 month pictures…it’s close enough, right?!?!
We actually were just going to go to Target and get them taken one Sunday after church but they were pretty busy and then we remember, “Hey, we know a guy”…so we asked him and he said that he would love to do it!! So Marc came to our house and set everything up and started snapping pictures.
It was a pretty fun afternoon. Noah was in a good mood…until we got him naked. At first he was all happy, but then he started getting a little cranky, once we got a diaper back on him, he was good to go again!
We did the trip around Iowa this week. We first headed to Mason City on Saturday morning. While we were there, Rick wasn’t feeling too well, so we didn’t do too much. We did get to see Grandma Schultz and she got to meet her newest great-grandson for the first time!! See the photos!
On Monday mid-morning, we headed to George with a stop in Emmetsburg to visit Joni. She was working at the hospital, so it was just a quick stop. Once we got to George we stopped at G&G Timmerman’s. Noah made Grandma’s day by falling asleep in her arms!! Then we headed to Mom’s to unpack everything again! Not too long later, Mom came home with Renae, Kahle and Bodee!! I was pretty excited because I thought I wasn’t going to get to see Bodee until the next day! I know everyone says it, but geez, I don’t remember Noah being that little!! And that was only 3 months ago!!
Tuesday we hung out at Mom’s while she worked. Me and Rick tried to give Renae and Bodee a little quite time so they could nap, so we took a walk with Kahle and Noah and headed to Grandma Krull’s. On Tuesday night the whole family got together for our own little “Thanksgiving Dinner”. We’re starting to get to be a big group!!! Those little boys sure do make it fun though!!
