Bodee Sean Weber

Posted by Rachel on Oct 27, 2008 in Family

Renae & Micah had their baby boy early this morning!! Bodee Sean Weber arrived at 1:54 am weighing in at 8 lbs. 12 oz. and 21 inches long. View More Pictures

I’ve been calling Renae every day for the last while just waiting to see if anything is happening. FINALLY last night around 8:30, Renae called and said she was having contractions…so we started timing them and they were all 3 to 5 minutes apart!!! We were both getting excited and I told her to go in (it’s always easier to tell someone else what to do!), but of course she didn’t want to go in yet because the contractions were not hurting. So after about 1/2 hour on the phone we hung up and she was under strict orders to call me when they decided to go to the hospital. So around 10:30 pm she called and said they were heading to the hospital and she was having some pretty bad contractions by this time. I wished her luck and we hung up – I figured she didn’t want me to be on the phone the WHOLE time, but she was again under strict orders to call – no matter what time it was! So around 2:15 am she called with the news and I could hear little Bodee in the background!!!

We can’t wait to meet the newest family member when we are back in George in one week!!!

Rick’s Birthday Party

Posted by Rachel on Oct 24, 2008 in Rick

Happy Birthday Rick!!!

We had some friends over for Rick’s birthday – he didn’t want to call it a birthday party, but that’s what it was!! We had a lot of snacks for everyone and of course there was cake!!! Rick wanted me to make him a cake, so this is what he got! I took the picture of him when Noah pooped on him at 3 am one morning and put that on the cake with the saying “Oh shit, another birthday”. Some of the creative snacks were some “Monster Toes” (peanut butter cookies tinted green with an M&M used as the toenail) and a “Spiderweb Crunch” (rice krispies covered in chocolate with a peanut butter web).

The boys even got the fire pit going so we could sit outside and keep nice and toasty! Rick had a great time and was glad everyone had a good time at his birthday party!!

Sprint Appreciation

Posted by Rachel on Oct 13, 2008 in Band, Rick

Sprint had an appreciation party for the bands that played on campus during the summer. Being that the Recliners played a few times, they were invited (along with their families – so me and Noah got to go along too!!) They had some food out for us – sandwiches, meatballs, coconut shrimp, chips & dip, dessert and pop!!!

They had a Wii set up that anyone could play and they also had “Rock Band” set up. While I was eating and talking to some other people, I suddenly heard Rick singing – yep, he was playing “Rock Band” with the other band members. One guy was on drums, another on guitar and Rick was singing. Well, of course it was all mic’d up so everyone stopped talking and watched them play for a little while. Except the song was cut short because the guy on drums was following the guitar notes, so after missing so many drum beats, the song fails.

A short time later, it was time for the lip-sync contest. And yes, Rick and two of the guys HAD to participate!!! They had costumes they could wear and inflatable guitars to play. Their group was VERY entertaining and ended up winning first place!! They each got an iPod Shuffle, so Rick was pretty happy. After the contest, we went to the Sprint Auditorium to watch a 15-20 minute video of the bands that played throughout the summer.
